Wings & Wheels 2019 Show

This was our second time at this show.  What a GREAT two day event!  The weather was perfect both days.  We were at a different spot than last year, but it was still a good area for our display.  As folks meandered through the car show they stopped to take pictures, and admire our sleds.  We were well received with a lot of stories told and retold of when they rode their first snowmobile, and which ones.  We were also several times how much people loved seeing our display

The Wings & Wheels sponsors asked the public to vote for their favorite snowmobile.  The show handed out a plaque to the sled that received the most votes.  And the winner was Dick Feil for his beautifully restored 1966 Arctic Cat 560D.  Not only that, but there were door prizes.  Kevin Hancock won a couple free meals at a local restaurant when the number was pulled for his 1972 Moto Ski.

The next day some of us went to watch the hydroplanes display at the annual Lake Chelan Mahogany and Merlot event.  There were some big names there like Miss Pay-N-Pack with their HUGE WWII vintage V12 Allison airplane motors roaring around the track.  Because they were not racing you could go out on one of the big Allison boats!  Now how cool is that!  Leading up to the big boats were several classes the put on a fine show for the crowd.
