Garnet Ghost Town Ride Final Update
Posted02/09/22 at 09:14 PM

Hey Vintage Snowmobile Friends,

Here's a last minute update on this weekend's ride.  Dave Morgan (Missoula Snowgoers) worked hard this week to get the Garnet groomer up and running and got the trail groomed on Tuesday.  So the good news is - there is enough snow and the trails have been groomed early this week., so we're a GO for the ride this weekend.

We had plans for the Snowgoers to provide hotdogs and brats for lunch like they've done for many years with this ride.  However, late today Dave received word from the Montana Fish & Game that effective immediately, the grooming and maintenance of Garnet trail system will transfer to the Seeley Lake Driftriders Snowmobile Club.  With this sudden change, the Snowgoers will be unable to provide lunch, so please plan on bringing your own lunch. I don't know at this point what the future looks like for this ride. I can tell you it's one of my favorite rides of the year and a great location.  Hopefully we can find a way to continue this great tradition.

See you on Saturday!
